CAD Microphone

CAD Microphone - Model GXL2200, cardioid condeser mic. I bought this for recording both vocals and acoustic instruments. Prior to this I was using a cheap dynamic mic designed for recording speech. The difference is phenomenal. Nearly all the vocals on my album Thought To Be Extinct were done with it, and you can tell the difference. I use it through the modest XLR pre-amp on my Arctic mixer.

Incidentally, I bought a pop-shield for it (that's the thing behind it in the picture) but it needed a piece of nylon pantyhose stretched over it to have any effect. Tip for the day ;)
