Sony MZ-NH700 Minidisc Recorder - I use this for sampling found-sounds (via a stereo mic), as well as recording instruments that have no output jack. It has a Minidisc capacity of 1 gigabyte, and records at 44100hz (CD Quality) without compression (although it supports several compression formats if so desired). Perfect for capturing hi-fidelity sound effects "on the go."
