Stylophone

Stylophone - Ah, e-bay... where would I be without you? This is a stylophone, the famous 9v batter-powered electronic organ invented in the sixties and played with a stylus.

The first one pictured was made in Hong-Kong, and is considered a cheap knock-off by Stylophone purists. It is... eccentric, some of the higher "keys" sound off-key, and have contact problems, but that makes it all the more unique.

The second one, although a little battered, is a proper made-in-the-UK model, with much better sound and playability. Its output jack isn't switched (ie. the speaker stays on when you plug in a patch cord), so I crossed my fingers and installed a switched one next to its unswitched brethren. Success!
